What You Need to Know Before Renting a Car in Marrakech
Please read these general rental conditions carefully before confirming your booking with Car Rental Marrakech. These terms explain what is included in your rental, the required documents, insurance conditions, payment methods, fuel policy, delivery options, and cancellation rules.
By making a reservation with us, you agree to the rental conditions listed below.
Rates Include
Our rental rates include:
- Unlimited mileage
- 24/7 customer assistance
- Free car delivery and collection in Marrakech
- Free delivery to Marrakech Menara Airport, hotels, riads, and agreed city locations
- Second driver included when requested in advance
- Basic third-party liability insurance
- Clean and well-maintained vehicle
- Standard vehicle inspection at pickup and return
Any extra service, special request, child seat, additional insurance, or delivery outside Marrakech must be confirmed before the rental starts.
Rental Duration
The rental period starts from the agreed pickup time and ends at the agreed return time.
If you wish to extend your rental period, you must contact us in advance and receive confirmation from our team. Extension requests are subject to vehicle availability.
For deliveries or returns outside Marrakech, a minimum rental period may apply. In most cases, rentals outside Marrakech require a minimum duration of 7 days or more, depending on the location and vehicle category.
Late returns may result in additional charges unless they have been approved by our team in advance.
Insurance Conditions
Our rates include basic third-party liability insurance with an excess amount depending on the vehicle category.
The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or cost not covered by the insurance policy.
Insurance does not cover:
- Damage caused by driving on unpaved roads
- Damage caused by negligence or misuse of the vehicle
- Damage to tires, rims, underbody, windows, mirrors, or interior
- Accidents not reported immediately to our team
- Accidents without an official police report when required
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or prohibited substances
- Use of the vehicle for racing, towing, off-road driving, or illegal activities
Driving on unpaved roads, desert tracks, mountain tracks, or unauthorized routes is strictly prohibited unless previously approved by us in writing.
Full coverage insurance may be available depending on the vehicle category. If you choose full coverage insurance with zero excess, no deposit may be required, subject to confirmation before pickup.
Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of delivery.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel amount.
If the vehicle is returned with more fuel than at pickup, the extra fuel will not be refunded.
Delivery and Collection
You can pick up or return your rental car at a convenient location in Marrakech, including:
- Marrakech Menara Airport
- Hotels
- Riads
- Train station
- Bus station
- City center
- Agreed private address
Please provide accurate pickup and return details when making your reservation.
For airport delivery, we recommend sharing your flight number and arrival time so our team can follow possible delays and prepare your vehicle on time.
Delivery or collection outside Marrakech may be possible upon request and may involve additional fees.
Required Documents
To rent a car with us, the renter must provide original and valid documents at pickup.
Required documents:
- Valid driving license
- Passport or national ID
- Booking confirmation
- Valid phone number or WhatsApp contact
The driver must have held a valid driving license for at least 2 years.
An international driving permit may be required depending on your country of residence and license type. Please confirm this with us before your arrival if you are not sure.
Only registered drivers are allowed to drive the rental vehicle.
Payment Methods
Payment can be made:
- By cash at pickup
- By credit card at pickup
- Online before pickup, when available
We accept most major credit cards. American Express may not be accepted.
The full rental amount must be paid before or at the time of vehicle delivery, unless another agreement has been confirmed by our team.
If a security deposit is required, the amount depends on the vehicle category, rental duration, and insurance option selected.
No deposit may be required when full coverage insurance with zero excess is selected, subject to confirmation.
Reservation Confirmation
After submitting a reservation request, you must wait for confirmation from our team.
Your booking is confirmed only after we verify vehicle availability and send you a confirmation message.
We usually confirm reservations within 6 hours, depending on the time of request and vehicle availability.
Submitting a booking request does not automatically guarantee the vehicle until confirmation is received.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation conditions depend on the payment method and booking status.
If you choose to pay online, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the rental start time.
If payment has already been received and the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the rental start time, the amount may be kept as credit for a future reservation, subject to our approval.
Refunds are not available if the rental is ended early after the vehicle has already been delivered.
No refund will be issued for unused rental days, early returns, or changes requested after the rental has started, unless approved by our team.
Vehicle Use
The renter agrees to use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with Moroccan road laws.
The vehicle must not be used for:
- Off-road driving without permission
- Racing or speed testing
- Transporting illegal goods
- Carrying more passengers than allowed
- Subleasing or lending the car to another person
- Driving outside Morocco without written authorization
- Any activity that may damage the vehicle or violate the law
The renter is responsible for traffic fines, parking tickets, tolls, penalties, and any legal violations during the rental period.
Vehicle Inspection
At pickup, the vehicle will be inspected with the renter. Any visible damage, fuel level, mileage, and vehicle condition should be checked before departure.
We recommend taking photos or videos of the vehicle at pickup and return for transparency.
At return, the vehicle will be inspected again. Any new damage, missing item, or abnormal condition may result in additional charges.

- Prices and availability may change depending on the season, vehicle category, and rental duration.
- Special requests must be confirmed before pickup.
- The renter is responsible for respecting all traffic laws in Morocco.
- Our team reserves the right to refuse a rental if the required documents are missing or if the rental conditions are not respected.
- These conditions may be updated at any time without prior notice.
